Alexander's Journey

Through 20+ years traveling the artist's remarkable journey with his Conscious World Beat Fusion band “here ii here”, along with other musical projects, Alexander has performed at the United Nations, on ABC Good Morning America, at Burning Man, Wanderlust Festivals, Lightning in a Bottle Festival, and Calle Ocho Music Festival (Festival de la Calle Ocho @ Carnaval Miami) as well as many other music festivals, at the Miami Open Tennis Finals at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, FL., at the Miami Dolphin Stadium, and at the opening game of the 2006 NBA Playoffs at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.

He toured North America from 2009-2011 performing in over 90 cities across 33 states for thousands of adoring fans; also performing throughout South America, the Caribbean, and even as far as China … and has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists and personalities such as Babyface, Kenny G, Maxi Priest, Amaury Gutiérrez, Marisela Verena, Dr. John Gray, and Les Brown, as well as with spiritual leaders including Deepak Chopra, Jack Canfield, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Byron Katie, Gangaji, Adyashanti, Kim Eng (Eckhart Tolle’s wife), Neale Donald Walsch, Michael Beckwith, Don Miguel Ruiz, Don Miguel Ruiz Jr., Masaru Emoto, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Art of Living Foundation), Yuan Miao, and the Tibetan State Oracle to the Dalai Lama among others.

Born in Lansing, Michigan to Cuban parents, then raised in Miami, Alexander discovered his unique vocal talent at the relatively late age of 19. Alexander grew up inspired by his father, a successful multiple-business owner who after losing everything to the Castro regime, left Cuba only to arrive in the USA with nothing. Shortly after arriving, he again started his own business, showing Alexander that obstacles are nothing in the face of perseverance and simple ingenuity. “He accomplished most of what he set out to do,” Alexander says, “despite the obstacles he had to overcome. We were very close and very similar. He died before I began my music career. He used to say I was going to do something big in life without even knowing what or how, and that has motivated me to get through whatever challenges come my way.”

Alexander has been a professional singer/performer for 20+ years, soaring through the good times, slogging through the tough times, and always persevering. With fantastically silky, R&B-styled vocal skills reminiscent of such legends as Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, Marvin Gaye, and Sam Cooke (going ol school!!), Alexander's remarkable voice can hold its own among the likes of today's generation of superstar vocalists like Usher, Maxwell, and Bruno Mars.

 

After years spent touring as a main vocalist with his mesmerizing vocal harmony band “here ii here”, Alexander has embarked on new adventures; his long-anticipated solo project along with his current new music duo project “LUMIZONE"
